So true. I think personal security from climate and other disasters is going to be more of a concern for everyone long before anyone needs to worry about the world ending from climate change.

Wondering if anyone has found any creative ways to reduce the delays to get transformers for microgrid projects.
Thebest solutions that we've found is developing close relationships with suppliers/ manufacturers and putting good contracts in place. That article highlighted a real issue, but I think a lot of people are actually successfully navigating the delays through careful planning.

Only a few days left to submit Microgrid proposals in CA to the CPUC
Non-utility parties have until Nov 9th to submit tariff proposals for multi-property microgrids to the CPUC for approval. Time will tell if this is really a success in helping developers overcome the onerous restrictions on becoming a regulated utility due to the over-the-fence rule. I remain skeptical plus the almost impossible to meet deadline is ridiculous. Here's a link to the CPUC...
