The Energy Division is soliciting informal comments for minor changes to the Contractors State License Board Solar Energy System Disclosure Document, per Resolution E-5364. Implementation of the Solar Energy System Disclosure Document, with the anticipated changes below, will begin on November 1, 2025, consistent with Resolution E-5364.
Potential changes are as follows:
Parties wishing to submit informal comment on the changes listed should save a version of the attached spreadsheet and email a filled-out copy to [email protected]. Energy Division would appreciate any informal comments by July 16, 2025, Wednesday.
Potential changes are as follows:
- Adding a box within the solar-only calculation section to include the name of the calculator used. A similar box is used in the solar plus storage section of the form.
- Adding a version number to the top of the Disclosure Document to allow contractors, customers, utilities and regulators to know which version of the Document is being used and to accommodate for updates moving forward.
- A disclosure to inform customers that certain non-sensitive details may be disclosed publicly for industry transparency and evaluation purposes. No personally identifiable data will be published and any information disclosed will be done so in accordance with applicable privacy law and policies.
- Adding page numbers to the document.
