Background:
NorCal Solar started when solar PV was mostly a dream, and with a mission to educate and promote solar. We were one of the first organizations on the planet to do this and are still a chapter of ASES (American Solar Energy Society), the very first organization with this mission (if you do not count the Egyptians and their worshiping of the Sun God Ra 5000 years ago!) ASES, our parent, along with ISES (International Solar Energy Society) turn 70 this year, and we will celebrate 70 too! During the day to day grind, it is easy to overlook how far we came so fast!

- 5-minute lightning talks with famous solar people.
- Bill Brooks will attend and it is his Birthday! (Presents accepted. 4/26/24 is also the 10th anniversary of Sean's near death experience on their sailboat Stella Blue).
- This event celebrates NorCal Solar's 50th birthday, spanning from 1974 to 2024!
- This celebration date was picked because this week is Climate Week!
