Solar is Expensive!

I've long thought solar is only for the rich. Of course, I understand you first need to own a home, which requires a certain income level to begin with. But, then to pay $40K for a solar system seem really out of touch for people like me. Curious to hear others thoughts and whether anyone has found a way around this "poor person's" solar dilema. Thanks

Solar actually saves people money through avoided elecricity cost and can be financed by traditional banks now. I highly recommend that you ask a few solar contractors to come provide you with quotes and connect you with their financing options. Some people don't believe the offers that you can go solar with financing at zero down with monthly bills guaranteed to be less than your current utility electric bill - but many (not all) of those offers are true. Now, local banks often even provide loans. In my humble opinion, it's a myth that solar is expensive. Solar systems enable everyone to own their own energy supplies and to save money on avoided electric bills for 30 plus years.
