Although you can clean solar panels yourself by using a soft brush or sponge (avoid high-pressure and abrasive cleaning supplies), it can be worth it to pay someone to do regular maintenance on your whole system. Usually for a nominal fee the solar installers will also offer remote monitoring and other services that ensure everything is working properly. I know many people who didn’t realize large portions of their systems were not producing energy for 6 or more months before they noticed.
